Yellow bird

This weekend I found a yellow bird on my birdfeeder at first I didn’t know what it was but then I looked at my bird chart and found that it is called the American Goldfinch the American Goldfinch is a common year round resident across most of eastern North America including all of Michigan. The brightly colored yellow male has jet black wings and white wing  patches. The female does not have black and is more of a greenish yellow color. They eat seeds like sunflower and thistle seeds. The female usually makes the nest.  They are known for there po-ta-to-chip calls. My question for you is if you know anything  about this bird. Here is a picture.
