Some trees in the fall lose their leaves and some trees do not. I was curious to figure out why some trees do not lose their leaves so here’s what I found out! Non Deciduous trees close up the little holes where the leaves  attach so they don’t lose moisture and shrivel up and die. Some examples of non deciduous trees Pines, cedar and Evergreen trees they have smaller leaves or quills that hold a lot of moisture so they don’t fall off the tree but overtime the quills do you lose color. The trees that do shed their leaves are called deciduous meaning  a tree that sheds its leaves and becomes dormant in the winter.  Some examples of deciduous trees are oak, maple, and birch.
